Along with Glazunov’s dainty balletic depiction of the four seasons, we perform Mussorgsky’s hair-raising portrayal of a witches’ sabbath. We end our season with Stravinsky’s musical rendition of the Russian legend of the Firebird, where love wins over evil.
Byrd Out presents Walthamstow Jazz Festival 2019, in association with Adnams, bringing together legendary and cutting edge talent.
Cream drummer Ginger Baker (Rolling Stone Magazine’s top 3 drummers of all time) will headline with his Jazz Confusion outfit. The line-up also includes a DJ set from the effortlessly cool Django Django, free jazz pioneer Evan Parker, Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier, Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore, and rising stars such as Emma-Jean Thackray, Binker Golding, Project Karnak and others.
The festival is in partnership with London Borough of Culture 2019, Dalston’s sodas and Perky Blenders coffee.
Expect stellar jazz across both stages, as well as a chance to buy exclusive releases from our label friends including YAM Records, Weekertoft, Wormfood, Ecstatic Peace Library, None More Records and Byrd Out.

Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony opens with a beautiful, almost spiritual atmosphere and takes us with its noble lines and warm scoring to an exultant finale.

It feels appropriate for Daniel’s biggest year to close out with a headline show in his hometown, with the opportunity for him to curate the production himself.
Daniel has chosen a WAH17 a building that will allow him to curate a production that has become synonymous with his events, with unparalleled sound and visual capabilities.
